Walter Hansen (*1934), seit 1970 freier Schriftsteller, gilt als langjähriger Kenner der germanischen Mythologie. Außergewöhnliche Literatur, die ich vor allem dem literarisch und mythologisch interessierten Leser empfehlen würde.Nicht nur über die Mythologie über diesen sehr direkten Kanal mehr zu erfahren ist spannend, sondern vor allem die Parallelen, die zur modernen Literatur erkennbar sind, sind beeindruckend. Man kann vielleicht nur mutmaßen, aber bekannte Fantasy Autoren mögen aus diesen Schriften einige Inspiration für Ihre Werke genommen haben.Dieses Werk ist in zwei Teile unterteilt. Der eine ist in Prosa geschrieben und sehr gut verständlich, daher eignet sich dieses Werk sehr gut für den Einstieg in die germanische Mythologie. Der zweite Teile ist in der Dichtform des Stabreims geschreiben. Dieser bringt die Erzählung in Strophenform dar. Dies ist zunächst ungewöhnlich, man bekommt aber schnell ein Gefühl dafür. Die Einleitungstexte, Erläuterungen und Kommentare von Walter Hansen zu Beginn jedes Kapitels helfen außerdem sehr beim Verständnis der Texte.Das Buch ist in festem Einband gebunden. Das Cover ist in Hochglanz. Das Papier des Buchs ist relativ dick und von der Farbe her leicht gelblich. Zwischendurch sind mehrere illustrierte Seiten auf rein-weißem glänzendem Papier eingebunden. Die Kanten des Papiers sind sauber geschnitten.Die Produktinformation stimmt mit dem gelieferten Artikel überein.

... und auch einiges aus der Neuen und Alten Edda... Das Cover und die Darstellungen hatte ich schöner erwartet (Hochglanz, maschinell verklebt, zB erste Seite klebt fast zu 1/3 zusammen) ist aber i.O.- Motiv hat leider wenig germanisches (oder Keltisches oä) sondern ist eher christlich, früh-mittelalterlich, was für sich schon Bände spricht ;) Inhaltlich "muss" man halt dem Vertrauen was die Christen einem übrig gelassen haben, also Prosa...Vom Herausgeber leider nicht mehr zu bekommen (habe Monate vergeblich gewartet) aber zum Glück gibt es ja Aufkäufer wie Medimops!

Die Lieferung war schnell, das Buch selbst ist sehr informativ und klasse gestaltet.. Vor allem am Seitenrand wird jegliches aus dem nordischen Wort übersetzt, ohne dass man nachschlagen muss.. Für meinen Geschmack könnte das Buch etwas größer sein, um seine Besonderheit noch zu untermauern.. Alles in allem werde ich unserer Tochter garantiert daraus vorlesen,um ihre Fantasie anzukurbeln.. Ein Kauf lohnt sich

Was soll man hier schreiben? Das Buch ist sauber verarbeitet und die Seiten sind ordentlich und sauber, nix verschmiert und das Buch stinkt nicht. Inhaltlich braucht ich nichts schreiben, denn wer das Buch bestellt sollte wissen worum geht. :)

Interessantes Buch, etwas schwierig zu lesen aber mit wichtigen Randnotizen die zum Verständnis beitragen.Ein Sternabzug da die Lieferung gute fünf Monate brauchte.
